We’re excited to hire a new Accounting Specialist I who can: OR Your Impact:

  • Record customer payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts in NetSuite and secondary systems.
  • Serve as a point of contact in the Accounts Receivable department for external and internal customers regarding their invoices via phone and ticketing system.
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Contact customers with overdue accounts to collect overdue amounts.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate collections notes for customers in NetSuite.
  • Support the generation and transmission of customer account statements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts in coordination with the collections team.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
  • Assist with close process.
  • Assist with audit request.
  • Compilation and review of financial reports/support as necessary.

 

There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Excel-ability to do vlookups and pivot tables is preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload and adaptability to work in fast paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work at a computer and monitor (sitting and standing) for extended periods of time; including reading the screen and keying/typing information.
  • Ability to lift up to 25Lbs; move about the office with occasional reaching and bending
  • Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, and critique such information as written materials, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work-related activities.
  • Ability to interact with employees and leaders on sensitive subjects and appropriately disagree and/or challenge a situation.
  • Ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe; manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives; satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
  • Ability to operate telephone equipment and respond to calls and in-person inquiries
